Job Description:
TSS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Digital Design Engineer to join our Integrated Circuit (IC) design team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to work on the design, verification, and implementation of digital circuits for advanced semiconductor products. The role is ideal for recent graduates or engineers early in their careers who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a collaborative, real-world environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of digital logic circuits for ASIC and/or FPGA-based ICs.
- Write and debug RTL code (Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL).
- Support block-level functional verification and simulation.
- Work with senior engineers on timing analysis, synthesis, and design-for-test (DFT).
- Contribute to documentation of design specifications, test plans, and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analog, physical design, validation, software).
- Learn and apply industry-standard tools for simulation, synthesis, and verification.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Coursework or project experience in digital logic design, computer architecture, or IC design.
- Familiarity with HDL languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL).
- Basic understanding of digital design concepts such as timing, clocking, and finite state machines.
- Exposure to EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor) a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting (Python, Perl, or Tcl) beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
