Job Description:
Trusted Semiconductor Solutions Inc seeks an entry-level full-time Product Engineer to contribute to the analysis of CMOS based semiconductor technologies.
Essential Duties:
- Analytical problem-solving skills required
- Perform statistical data analysis of large datasets to summarize observations, form hypotheses, design experiments, and set meaningful test limits
- Perform yield analysis and creating a pareto of failure modes
- Perform bench level testing at the wafer and package level using common test instruments to debug integrated circuits
- Correlate failure analysis modes/mechanisms with the correct root cause (technology, design, process, manufacturing, test)
- Specify failure analysis techniques (SEM/TEM, IR microscopy, Photo Emission microscopy, FIB, etc…) to identify root cause failure mechanisms
- Support cross-functional teams consisting of technology, design, and test engineers to pursue yield improvement
- Knowledge of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) capabilities and test methods and the ability to specify electrical testing in exquisite detail
- Create product specifications that define electrical, mechanical, thermal, and environmental requirements for integrated circuits at the wafer and package level
- Prepare and effectively communicate technical data to stakeholders
- Create customer-facing product data sheets or web pages
- Maintain configuration control of all products and specifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- EE or Solid-State Physics degree, or degree-path, with emphasis on semiconductor device physics, including CMOS
- Strong interest in physics, statistics, and technical writing
- Interest in lab testing or test development
- Ability to rapidly grasp technical concepts and solutions
- Ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor/team player
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-driven and willingness to go beyond the comfort zone to grow
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work efficiently/productively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSEE or BS Physics with strong device physics background/coursework
- Familiarity with key semiconductor processing steps
- Familiarity with Material Science/Chemistry and elemental analysis methods
- Passion for problem solving
